Friday Love List
- I spend a great deal of time in Washington County, Texas, where I frequent the Independence Coffee Company and partake in my favorite flavor, Madalyn’s Backyard Pecan. Available ground, whole bean and in Indie Shots for single serving coffee machines. If super strong coffee is your jam, try Jet Fuel. Also sold at H-E-B. – Melissa
- To celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, I’ll summon my inner Irish to make one of my favorite meals, Chappell Hill Sausage, steamed cabbage, Great Northern Beans, sweet potato, and of course, green beer on the side. CHEERS! – Melissa
- Last year I posted my slow cooker corned beef and cabbage. Recently, I read that Trader Joe’s Uncured Corned Beef Brisket is nitrate free (which does not mean sodium free). Either way, let me know if you try it! And if you’re into Irish Soda Bread, this paleo version looks delicious. – Marcia
- Beginning March 20, I’m beginning two weeks of Whole30 dinners and the Switch2Pure Detox in a Box. It’s time for a Spring reset (and sunny weather!). I’m dusting off my Vitamix because the detox includes two protein smoothies a day–you can add 1/2 cup berries, a handful of greens and a little fat from coconut, avocado or nut butter. Join me, misery loves company (just kidding!!). Look for smoothie tips, clean recipes and inspiration to keep you on track. I don’t receive a commission from selling the detox, I just thought I’d spread the word! – Marcia
- St. Pat’s Day always reminds me of the day, three years ago, that I rescued and adopted my Bella. I want to encourage each of you to visit a shelter and add to your family. Bringing Bella home was the best gift I was ever given. Visit the ASPCA to find a local shelter within a 25-mile radius of your home. – Melissa
