Father’s Day Gift Guide
Melissa here with a special “love list” as we honor all the dads out there. They are our “rocks” and we wouldn’t be the same without them. I am so fortunate to have had the BEST father, although our time together was way too short, and I’m so lucky to have the best bonus dad ever. He has taught me about the cattle business, patience and what it means to share your time and energy with your children. I have said many, many times because of John, I would be the best step-parent ever. So, let’s show our dads the love.
Greg Kewekordes, “Kiwi” to his friends, personally designed his Old Tejas Texas Camo field shirts. Available in shades of khaki and blue, as well as the new UV bay shirt. Last year, I gave the field shirt to the fathers in my life and it was a hit.
For the whiskey lover, order the A Field Guide to Whisky manual, and include these Riedel single malt whiskey glasses and cocktail ice molds or freezable whiskey glasses. For old fashioned fanatics, these bar spoons are great, or get this cute enameled bar set which is great for outdoor entertaining this summer. A nice bottle of The Glenlivet wouldn’t hurt either.
For the griller, Marcia recommends a cedar plank “saver” for the grill (which makes it easier to extract when hot) or these mesh grilling baskets or bags for sliced or small items. Leather half aprons are masculine and super cool, too.
For golfers, Criquet Golf Shirts from Austin are a great gift. The driver headcovers from Smathers & Branson are another great idea.
For the active dad, Marcia suggests you check out the new line of simple workout wear for men from her good friend Charles Nelson. Willy California makes simple and comfortable athletic wear. The zip-up hoodie and standard tee are cozy and easy to wear.
